GCSO's public SmartWEB JAIL View is the county booking and custody search. It offers current, released, or combined inmate modes and did not show a booking-photo field in the researched public results. The separate Gwinnett County Comprehensive Correctional Complex at 750 Hi Hope Road serves sentenced and work-release populations, so it is not the live pretrial booking roster.
Where to Look for Results
Choose the source by custody stage and record type. The private reference pages can explain the route, but only the government custodian can confirm the result.
- Current or recently released from the county jail: Search GCSO JAIL View and the county's Jail and Inmate Services information. A booking is a custody event, not a conviction.
- Booking sheet, arrest report, or booking photograph: Use the GCSO records office. Identify the person's full name, booking number, and booking date. No flat booking-photo fee is published there, so request an estimate.
- County open-records coordination: Contact Meagean Diaz, Legal Manager, Open Records Officer, 75 Langley Drive, Lawrenceville, GA 30046, 770-822-8712, Meagean.Diaz@GwinnettCounty.com. The county's Open Records page explains the portal and its limits.
- Court case or disposition: Use Gwinnett Courts case search or call the court-record help line at 770-822-8100. Court records are maintained through the courts, not treated as a Sheriff's records request.
- Sentenced state-corrections record: Search the Georgia Department of Corrections Find an Offender system. Its photographs appear only when available, and a GDC profile is not a complete search for a recent Gwinnett arrest.
- Federal custody: Check the Federal Bureau of Prisons locator for BOP records. It does not publish inmate photographs and does not replace the county jail search.
- Immigration detention: Use the official ICE Online Detainee Locator only when the facts indicate ICE custody. An ICE hold in a county record is not the same as an ICE locator match or a criminal conviction.
